One fine day, Terry informed me that she had gotten a sales pitch for what seemed like a really good deal. For a payment of just $538, we would get a a three-day, two-night cruise to the Bahamas, PLUS two nights in Ft. Lauderdale, PLUS two nights in Orlando, PLUS a bonus four-day vacation in Puerto Vallarta, PLUS a bonus three-day vacation in Las Vegas!
Sounds too good to be true, right? That's what I thought. But she'd already signed us up, and paid for it. We could have gotten out of it - there was a three-day right of refusal - but we checked it out, and it seemed legitimate. So we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.
And it turned out to be okay. We took the Puerto Vallarta trip in October 2010 (click here for details), and it was as promised - although we did have to endure a time share sales presentation. And the Florida trip was also as promised - although we had to endure ANOTHER sales pitch, about which more later.
